This program allows you to use the latest digital technology from your very first year. Our digital fabrication lab lets you translate your ideas directly from paper or the computer screen to physical reality, using our laser cutter/engraver, color 3D printer, and CNC milling machine. As you experiment with these advanced tools, you will push the boundaries of what´s possible in architecture, while learning valuable technical skills. We combine these digital tools with more traditional modes of fabrication, with an extensive array of woodworking tools.

An engaged and alternative approach
The Bachelor in Architecture takes an integrated approach to your learning. You are not only taught by architects, but also by visual artists, designers, typographers and engineers, each of whom bring different perspectives to your studies and help enrich your expressive abilities. The program also enables you to present your ideas to panels of experts from various creative fields, providing you will the essential skills to successfully present, analyze, and implement your work.
In their first year, students will have a broad introduction to the world of Architecture from the exact-sciences point of view. They will learn to apply calculus, probability, analytic and differential geometry, physical principles and algebraic methods to solve architectural problems. Students will experience with digital tools and they will learn about expression, spaces and images, shapes, buildings and landscapes. They will also have the chance to work in real life projects by applying to one of our IE University Labs.
In year 2, students will take a step further and get immersed in the world of building technologies with an introduction to the world of construction, structures, and their calculations.
During the following three years they will continue acquiring real-life experience by going on internships and shadowing experts in the field.
In the third year, students will redefine what they have learned regarding construction and will go deeper in structural analysis and strength of materials. They will design buildings reducing costs, adding flexibility and making them more environmentaly efficient.
In the fourth year, students will understand some of the issues involved in both managing and being managed; they will learn to become a more effective contributor to the organizations. They will also encounter the ethical dilemmas faced in everyday life, as well as those likely faced in the future professional activity. In addition, they will acquire knowledge and necessary skills to manage the operation of modern cities and metropolitan areas.
